Background

SA19 was established to offer productions new levels of authenticity through the application of specialist knowledge coupled with professional uniformed artistes cast by an experienced background booking team.

As well as the agency’s founders, Chris Bridgeman and Chuck Douglas, SA19 is advised by an array of technical advisors spanning the emergency services and armed forces.

Chris Bridgeman, a former 2020 Casting booker, has had wide-ranging experience with background booking for several casting agencies. He has been involved on productions such as Red Cap II, Ultimate Force, New Tricks and the award-winning Band of Brothers giving him a broad knowledge of police and armed forces uniform and procedures.

Chuck Douglas has worked within the industry not only as assistant manager and head booker at 2020 Casting but also as a 2nd assistant director giving him an thorough understanding of background booking and the realities of production requirements. In recent years he has worked on a wealth of productions ranging from Eastenders, Silent Witness and The Bill through to Harry Potter & the Philosopher’s Stone, Die Another Day and
Richard Curtis' Love Actually.
